Qobs.nc/NNNNobs.nc/RGNNNNobs.nc

Observation data in the form of netcdf files. These are used if readformat is set to 4 in info.txt. Observation data files are one per variable, and the filename is formed from the variable name and ending it with obs. E.g. REINobs.nc for observed inorganic nitrogen concentration in outflow ('rein'). Qobs.nc is the only exception as it can be found as Qobs.nc (nc variable qobs) or ROUTobs.nc (nc variable rout). Regional variables have files with six letters for filename and variable.

The format described below allow for additional attributes.

HYPE netcdf input format - version 0.2

Filename:

Qobs.nc - alternative to ROUTobs.nc, and hold observations of discharge, where the nc data variable is named 'qobs'.

VVVVobs.nc - where VVVV is the observation variable HYPE id, e.g. 'REIN' or 'RSNW' and VVVVobs the observation variable filename. The nc data variable name is vvvv, e.g. 'rein'.

RGVVVVobs.nc - where RGVVVV is the regional observation variable HYPE id, e.g. 'rgrrun' and RGVVVVobs the observation variable filename. The nc data variable name is rgvvvv, e.g. 'rgrrun'.

Variables:

qobs - for discharge in Qobc.nc, a float

vvvv - vvvv is the observation variable filename and HYPE variable id, e.g. 'rein', a float

rgvvvv - rgvvvv is the forcing variable filename and HYPE variable id, e.g. 'rgrrun', a float

time - time denoting beginning of timestep, a double

id - subid or obsid, an int

units - e.g. seconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00
