timeXXXX.nc

The netcdf version of time output files is asked for in info.txt by netcdfoutput and giving variables and meanperiod. The content is the same as for time files, but the values are not rounded or truncated. This output format was first introduced in HYPE version 5.22.0, and changed to its current format in HYPE version 5.25.0.

HYPE netcdf output format - version 0.2

Filename:

timeXXXX.nc - where XXXX is the 'HYPE variable ID' of the variable

or

timeRGXXXX.nc - where XXXX is the 'HYPE variable ID' of the original variable which regional average over an output region is in the file

Variables:

xxxx - where xxxx is the 'HYPE variable ID' of the output variable

or

rgxxxx - where xxxx is the 'HYPE variable ID' of the original variable which regional average over an output region is in the file

time - time denoting beginning of timestep/meanperiod

id - subid or outregid

Attributes:

Global attributes:

title - 'Timeseries of' longname 'in' longunit. Where longname and longunit is from HYPE constant outvarid.

hype_version - e.g. '5.25.0'

frequency - meanperiod of output, e.g. day, month or year

Attributes for HYPE variable:

units - from outvarid longunit

long_name - longname from outvarid, e.g. 'comp outflow subbasin' or regional average of longname or upstream average of longname

_FillValue - -9999.f

_FillValue - -9999.f

Attributes for time variable:

units - e.g. seconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00, taken from Pobs.nc

calendar - taken from Pobs.nc

axis - T

Attributes of id:

long_name - 'subbasin' or 'output region'

It is possible to add global attributes to netcdf output files. The attributes are specified in info.txt and all files gets the same attributes.
